Europe Senior Tourism is promoted in Portugal, Austria and the Czech Republic
01.02.2011. The President of SEGITTUR, Javier Bustamante, has presented the new features of the second edition of the Europe Senior Tourism programme at two press conferences in Vienna and Prague, and at different interviews with the media in Lisbon.
On these three promotion trips, which took place between 27 January and 1 February, the President and a representative from Andalusia also gave interviews to the people in charge of travel agencies and other agencies that commercialise the programme in these countries: Quality Tours in the Czech Republic; Ruefa in Austria; and ACP Viagens, INATEL, VT OPERADOR TURISTICO, ASALGARVE and RSI VIAGENS in Portugal.
The first season of the Europe Senior Tourism programme brought to Spain nearly 45,000 tourists from the various countries eligible for subsidies from the Government and the Autonomous Regions. 1,500 seniors came from Portugal, the Czech Republic and Austria altogether, and this year about 9,000 are expected.
